Market notes

Occasional notes on how the house reads markets. They are observations of process, not investment advice or an offer of any kind.

Patient capital beats predicted capital

We do not forecast the next quarter. We underwrite what a business or an asset can produce across a full cycle, and accept drawdowns that a five-to-ten-year horizon can absorb.

Collateral is the only real covenant

In private credit, documentation matters, but recoverable collateral matters more. Every position is underwritten to what can be realised, not to what has been promised.

Currency is a position, not a footnote

For a family operating across the Gulf, Europe and the Americas, holding the wrong currency quietly erodes more capital than a bad quarter in equities.

Concentration with knowledge, diversification without it

Where the house has direct operating insight, positions are concentrated. Where it does not, exposure is indexed, small, or absent.
